Astralis announces personnel changes after disappointing result at PGL Major Stockholm 2021: Peter 'dupreeh' Rasmussen, Emil 'Magisk' Hoffmann Reif and current coach Danny 'zonic' Selim Sørensen are leaving the organization, their replacements are already in place.   The four-time major winner announced several changes on Thursday morning. In the future, neither dupreeh nor Magisk will play for the organization. In addition, those responsible also part ways with zonic, the coach of the CS:GO team. Instead, the players Kristian 'k0nfig' Wienecke as well as Benjamin 'blameF' Vang Bremer and Alexander 'ave' Holdt were signed as new coaches.   The trio dupreeh, Magisk and zonic will leave Astralis as soon as their own contracts expire. According to the organization, this will be the case by next January at the latest. dupreeh and zonic joined Astralis at the beginning of 2016 and have since won four Major trophies as well as numerous other titles. The PGL Major Stockholm turned out to be a massive disappointment for the defending champions: After three losses in a row, Astralis failed early in the New Legends Stage and thus missed a top 8 finish.   gla1ve remains leader The two newcomers k0nfig and blameF belonged to Complexity Gaming until recently. The former recently took a break for some time due to problems with his wrist. The US-based organization had parted with its players or put them on the transfer list in recent weeks after unsuccessful results.   "When Astralis calls, you have to have really good arguments to hang up the phone," blameF said in his statement on his new employer's website. "There are big shoes to fill, but I believe I can bring something new to the team and make a real difference."   The 24-year-old said he is looking forward to playing with Lukas 'gla1ve' Rossander and giving him the role of in-game leader. This would allow blameF to focus more on their own game in the future. gla1ve, like Andreas 'Xyp9x' Højsleth, had extended his contract by several years in the recent past.   Fans will have to wait a few more weeks for the first appearance of the new Astralis roster.
